New Assistant Headteacher for Teaching and Learning

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted to share some exciting news with you regarding the continued development of our leadership team at Selsdon Primary School.

Following a successful recruitment and selection process, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Cousins as our new Assistant Headteacher for Teaching and Learning, effective from September.

Following a rigorous interview process, Mr Cousins demonstrated the skills, knowledge and leadership qualities required to further strengthen teaching and learning across our school.

Many of you will already know Mr Cousins, who has been a valued member of the Selsdon Primary School team for the past seven years. During this time, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional commitment, professionalism and dedication to our school community. His passion for providing the highest quality education, together with his unwavering commitment to our vision and values, has made him an invaluable member of staff.

As Assistant Headteacher, Mr Cousins will lead on Teaching and Learning across the school, working closely with staff to further develop the quality of education we provide. His role will focus on ensuring that every classroom delivers inspiring, engaging and high-quality learning experiences, enabling every child to achieve their full potential.

I know that Mr Cousins will be an outstanding addition to the senior leadership team, and I look forward to working alongside him as we continue to build upon the many successes of our school.

Mr Cousins has shared the following message with our school community:

“I am both honoured and thrilled to take up the role of Assistant Headteacher: Teaching and Learning from September. I will be entering my eighth year working at Selsdon Primary School, so I believe I have a strong understanding of our children, our curriculum and the wonderful sense of community fostered by everyone at our school.

I look forward to working to ensure that all members of our school community experience our vision of a school where caring, learning, aspiring and succeeding are at the heart of everything we do. I hope to work regularly, collaboratively and positively with you, Mr Feitor and Miss Kumar as we continue to develop Selsdon Primary School as a positive, nurturing and sports-focused hub for learning, where every child can thrive.”
