Here are the images of our residential trip to Marchants Hill in October 2026:
The children have all arrived safely and enjoyed their first day of activities!
Day 1
What a fantastic first day! The children have enjoyed three exciting activities!
Climbing Wall– The children tested their strength, balance and determination! We were so impressed by their bravery and resilience. Every child gave it a go, conquering a fear or two along the way!
Orienteering– Using maps, the children raced against the clock to locate clues around the site. They put their teamwork and navigation skills to the test and really got into the competitive spirit!
Balloon Splash– The children worked together to complete challenges and design protection for a water balloon. If their balloon survived, they got to throw it at their PGL leader, Mackenzie!
Day 2
Another fantastic day filled with exciting challenges!
Raft Building (All Groups)– The children braved the rain and chilly waters to build their own rafts, putting their teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test. They were particularly excited to jump in for a swim!
Rifle Shooting (All Groups) – The children learnt how to safely load and fire air rifles at targets, developing their concentration, accuracy and coordination.
Zip Wire (Groups 1 & 2)– The children showed incredible bravery as they soared through the air, overcoming fears and building confidence!
Problem Solving (Groups 1 & 2)– Working together, the children tackled various challenges, developing their teamwork, communication and critical-thinking skills!
Tunnel Trail (Groups 3 & 4)– The children embraced the muddy conditions as they tackled an assault course, crawling through tunnels and navigating muddy fields! Plenty of determination, resilience and muddy clothes!
Trapeze (Groups 3 & 4)– The children challenged themselves to climb a 6-metre pole, balance on a small platform and take a leap towards a trapeze! This activity was all about courage, determination and overcoming fears, with plenty of encouragement from their friends!
Another brilliant day of adventure, teamwork and laughter!
Day 3
Another action-packed day at PGL, with plenty of exciting challenges and opportunities to develop new skills!
Survivor (Groups 1 & 2)– The children put their survival skills to the test, learning how to build shelters and start small fires using flint and steel! A great opportunity to develop teamwork, independence and problem-solving skills!
Zip Wire (Groups 3 & 4)– The children faced their fears as they soared through the air, showing fantastic bravery and determination!
Archery Tag (All Groups)– An exciting team challenge where the children used bows and foam-tipped arrows to aim at opponents, testing their accuracy, agility and teamwork!
Laser Tag (All Groups)– The children enjoyed some friendly competition, using teamwork, communication and strategy to outsmart their opponents!
Abseiling (All Groups)– The children showed incredible courage as they lowered themselves down a climbing wall, developing confidence, resilience and trust in their equipment!
