Year 6 Residential Trip to PGL Marchants Hill – October 2025

Here are the images of our residential trip to Marchants Hill in October 2025:

The children have all arrived safely and enjoyed their first and second day of activities!

Day 1

After arriving at PGL, the children settled in and completed the giant swing and aeroball activities.

Day 2

Groups 1 & 2 went abseiling, fencing, Jacobs ladder and challenge course. Group 3 went abseiling, buggy building, completed the challenge course and giant stand up paddle boarding! All groups did PGL games in the evening. 

Day 3

In the morning, the children went on a long, refreshing hike around the Surrey hills. They enjoyed walking the trail despite the rainy weather.

Groups 1 & 2 completed some buggy building, where they had to tie specific knots and create a makeshift buggy cart. Both groups then had a fantastic experience with stand up paddle boarding, where they had to work as a team to turn their paddle boards without falling into the water, which was freezing cold!!

Day 4

Today was our last full day at PGL, and what a way to spend it!

Groups 1 and 2 embraced the great outdoors with Survivor, learning essential survival skills deep in the forest, before taking on the adrenaline-filled Zip WireArchery, and the high-flying Trapeze ā€” a real test of courage and teamwork.

Meanwhile, Group 3 challenged themselves on the Climbing wall, pushing personal limits and supporting each other every step of the way. A fantastic day of adventure, bravery, and unforgettable memories!

All children finished their last full day with a disco!!

Day 5

Day 5 marked the final activities of the trip. All groups participated in rifle shooting, showing great focus and enthusiasm. In addition, Groups 1 and 2 took on the challenge of rock climbing, while Group 3 enjoyed the thrilling experience of the trapeze.
