RSE Parent Consultation

Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope you and your families are safe and well.

In June last year, the government released its statutory guidance on relationships education, relationships and sex education (RSE) and health education.  This new curriculum will be mandatory from September 2020.

Our draft policy is now available for consultation with parents and carers on the blog under [About Us] [School Policies and Forms], or download it here.  The policy contains the statutory expectations by the end of primary school, links between relationships education and the science statutory requirements and our PSHE curriculum.

Please take the opportunity to read the leaflet for parents and carers available here, produced by the government to support you.

We welcome your comments in the form of consultation to ensure that we can be confident that our final draft reflects the needs of our pupils as well as taking into consideration the views of all our stakeholders.

We have created a survey, which is available here. If you wish to comment on this policy, please fill out this survey before 5pm on 1st July 2020. All comments will be considered collectively, in light of statutory requirements, before formal adoption of the policy.

Best wishes
