School Opening on Monday 1st June

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you are no doubt aware, schools have been asked to open to more children from Monday 1st June. From that date we will be welcoming all children from nursery, reception, year one and year six back to school

In addition, we will be continuing our childcare provision for children of key-workers and vulnerable children in Years 2, 3, 4 and 5.

These are very strange times indeed and the return to school will not be without its challenges. School will be reopening to more children, but it will not be school as we know it. We are strictly following government advice in order keep us all safe which means that many things that we take for granted in school may look very different.

This is going to be difficult as we all retrain ourselves to operate safely in this new environment. It is going to take a little time to get used to. I would like to thank you all for all of your support and kind words through this pandemic.

In order to make sure that we can keep our whole school community safe we have written a detailed plan for the wider opening of the school, here is a copy of our plan:

If you have any questions about this, or you have any worries or concerns about your child returning to school, please email the school office admin@selsdonprimary.org.uk and one of the leadership team will get back to you as soon as possible.

If you require a space in our childcare provision, and your family fits into one of the above groups, please fill out the survey at the following link, before 5.00pm on Wednesday, 27th May 2020.

Link to survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/32PYBVW

Please note, this provision is limited and therefore, we will contact you to confirm whether your child(ren) have a space. Please do not send your child into school until we have confirmed this with you via email.

Please stay safe.

Take care,

Susan
