I am sure that you are aware of the latest headline news regarding the potential DfE school closures due to RAAC (Reinforced Autoclaved Aeriated Concrete) being identified in UK schools. We appreciate the coverage may give rise to questions surrounding the possibility of RAAC being present within our school building and I want to reassure you as follows:
Back in April 2023, a RAAC specific intrusive survey was carried out at Selsdon Primary School by a Local Authority qualified expert surveying team.
On completion of this survey, and after the local authority received and reviewed all the reports, we are very happy to confirm that there is no RAAC present in any of the buildings at our school.
