Dear Families,
We have some exciting news. In the coming weeks, we will be opening the Selsdon Primary Community Hub here at school. This is a space for families from our school to come and collect items that they may need, such as food, uniform, or toiletries.
This will be organised by volunteers from the school staff, and will be in place to support families who might be struggling during the current cost of living crisis or other hardships that they might come across.
The Selsdon Primary Community Hub will consist of a food bank for all families to access, toiletries and essentials, as well as a selection of pre-loved uniform, used books to share.
As we are in the process of getting this service up and running, we are asking families, if they are in the position to do so, to donate any surplus items they may have at home.
You can also make monetary contributions. Our volunteers will then ensure that we purchase the required items from all the donations we receive. You can make cash donations through a collection box at the office. If you would prefer to make payment another way (e.g. electronically), please contact the PTA by emailing them on SelsdonPrimaryPTA@gmail.com explaining that you would like to make a donation to the Community Hub.
We will be opening the hub as soon as we can, and will communicate with families as soon as we are able to open this service!
