Hello Everyone,
You should have all received an email from me asking for nominations for a new parent governor at our school. In case you did not receive this, I am posting the information below.
We currently have a vacancy for parent governors on our Federated Governing Board. We are looking for one parent governor from each of our schools. This is open to all parents and carers of children registered at either of our schools. Being a governor will afford you the opportunity to help shape and guide the progress of our school, and our Federation.
On our last Ofsted Reports, both schools were judged to be a good schools. We continue to strive to make our teaching an outstanding experience for our pupils. This could not be achieved without the active engagement of our parents. One of the most significant ways that parents can help in promoting this aim is to volunteer to be a parent governor. The governing board’s main tasks are to support the school, ensure that pupils receive high quality education and plan for future development and improvement.
Parent governors are welcomed as valued members of the team and play a vital role in ensuring the governing board is aware of the views of parents, carers and the local community. We feel sure that there are parents and carers prepared to take on this important role and give their time and commitment to helping us to continue to improve the school’s performance.
Here is some information about being a parent governor:
