Dear Parents/Carers,
As you may have already heard, lateral flow device Covid testing is now available for adults in households of all school children, including primary aged children, in preparation for the full re-opening of schools on Monday.
Please follow this link for more information about this programme. You can either collect kits from your local test centre or you can order kits online. if you cannot go to a test site (there is limited availability of kits that can be ordered).
We encourage all our parents and carers to take part in this to help keep as many children as possible in school. Currently staff take two tests per week, one on a Sunday evening and one on a Wednesday evening.
We must emphasise that this testing programme is aimed at those without symptoms of Covid-19 (asymptomatic). If you or any member of your household is unwell with Covid-19 symptoms, the guidance has not changed – you must immediately self-isolate for the next 10 full days and arrange to have a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
We are all very excited to welcome all the children and staff back to school next week, I know how hard it has been for everyone during this lockdown and thank you for all the support you have given us.
