Hello everyone,
I hope that you are all well. As you know we are opening our schools to nursery, reception, year one, year six and key worker groups from tomorrow.
We understand that many of you may feel worried about bring your children back to school. There has been a lot of conflicting information being shared in the media, which can make this decision confusing. It is an important decision for you to make, one that is deeply personal. It is absolutely your choice as to whether you send your children back or not, this has to be right for you and your family. I want you to know that we will support whatever decision you make. There will not be any penalties for absence during this period. I would also like to reassure you that if you do send your child(ren) back to school, we will do everything we can to keep them safe.
To support this, we are staggering the start and end times for each of the year groups that have been invited back into school. This includes the key worker groups. I have already sent these times to you in the more detailed plan, but thought it would be useful for you to have a summary here. I have also shown where children should go first thing on Monday morning and which entrance/door they should use.
Class/Group | Start Time | End Time | Where to report to on Monday 1st June | Door to Use |
Nursery AM | 08:30 | 11:30 | Nursery | Nursery Gate |

Each child should go to the classroom shown above as soon as they arrive tomorrow. For example, if your child is currently in Eagle Class, they should report to Eagle classroom first thing tomorrow.
We will allocate children to their ‘bubbles’ tomorrow morning, once we know exactly how many children have returned to school. We will confirm which ‘bubble’ they have been place in when you collect them at the end of the school day. Once your child has been placed in a ‘bubble’, this is where they will stay until the end of term. This is because is vitally important not to threaten the integrity of the bubble to protect the safety of everyone in school.
Please plan to arrive at the start/end time for your year group (not before or after). We need to keep the entrances to the school site as clear as possible. If you arrive early, could we ask you wait somewhere well away from the school entrances to maintain social distancing.
Safe Entry and Exit from the School
All children in years 3 – 6 should enter the school site on their own. No adults should accompany them.
Children in nursery, reception and years 1 and 2 should be accompanied by one adult only.
There will be a one-way system in place at the school gates from tomorrow morning. This is help with social distancing. There will be staff on duty at the gates to support with this.
Nursery Parents and Children Please do not use the main school entrance
- Entry into nursery: Use entrance nearest the nursery and enter through the nursery gate (follow the sign).
- Exiting the school: Out of the other nursery gate (follow the sign) and out through the gate at the bottom of the drive.
All other Children and Parents
- Entry into school: All children and parents should enter through the main school entrance. Use the school gates nearest the school office.
- Exiting the school: Through the gates nearest the nursery.
Thank you Miss Papas. This is truly unprecedented times we are all facing thank you for your reassuring words. For those children unable to come to school due to travelling by public transport will there be work available for them from their class teacher.
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Hello Tracy. Thank you for your kind words. The teachers will continue to post activities on the blogs until the end of term. The teachers who are in class will be using these too, which means that all of the children in the year group will have the same lessons. This means that no-one will be left out! With best wishes. Stay safe. Susan
Thank you.
