Hello Everyone,
As you will have heard, the Prime Minister has announced that there may be a phased re-opening of schools from 1st June, starting with children in reception, year one and year six. This is part of the government’s conditional plan which it says will remain under regular review.
In the short term, nothing has changed. We remain open only for the vulnerable children and the children of key workers, who have been registered with our temporary childcare provision.
At the moment we have not been given any details about how the reopening of schools will be organised. As soon as we have been given more information and guidance, we will share this with you. In the meantime we are busy carrying out risk assessments in order to ensure that when we do reopen, that we do so safely.
Thank you for all that you are doing at home with your children and for your support and understanding at this difficult time.
With best wishes
Susan Papas
Thank you. Before the reopening on 1 June, I as a parent who is asthmatic and also have another asthmatic child, I would like to see very clearly how the school will help my reception aged child to be socially distance plus other ways in which the school reduces risk of my child in school catching Covid 19 and bring it home with an opportunity to ask questions. Thank you. Miriam
Good Morning
Can I ask are you now taking in more children for school?
As more are returning to work this week. I notice Greenvale are as are the school I work at.
Also I have noticed that Hewitts are open for online orders… but can’t try clothes on in store, Betsie will be fine but will you be relaxing the uniform rules on return? Just something to think about as I know lots of parents worrying about uniform still fitting.
Hello Sarah,
The school will be open from the 1st June for pupils in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6.
Children should wear their own clothes to school. This is to enable parents to wash their children’s clothes as frequently as possible in order to reduce risk of cross infection. Please do not worry about ordering uniform items at present.
Best wishes.
Hello Miriam,
We completely understand that parents will have some concerns and questions regarding their children returning to school. Please see the most recent blog post which outlines our plans for pupils to return.
If you have specific questions related to your child then please do not hesitate to email the school office and they will forward your questions to a member of the leadership team to respond to.
Best wishes.
Hi Mrs Parker. Thank you very much. I received the information last night and read through the government guidance which he enabled me to come to a decision. Thank you for getting back to me. Miriam
