We are aware that many people are worried about COVID-19 (coronavirus). We would like to reassure you that we are still following government advice.
The situation is always being looked at and we will let you know if there is anything you need to know. There have been no confirmed or suspected cases of coronavirus at our school.
Staff have been asked to ensure that children are frequently washing hands during the day, especially after using the toilet, at the start of the school day, before meals and after sessions outside or where there is increased contact (break times, PE lessons).
Children have already been taught how to wash their hands properly and are regularly being reminded how to do this.
We have increased the amount of cleaning in the school, especially door handles, hand rails other surfaces regularly used by the children.
Advice remains to carry on activities, including school trips, as normal – but we are risk assessing and identifying additional opportunities for hand washing.
You can help by ensuring everyone washes their hands before coming to school and when getting back home. Being calm. If your child is not allergic and you would like them to have their own hand sanitiser (to use in addition to regular hand washing) you can, but please tell your child not to share it and use it sensibly.
If you are worried about your health or the health of your child we always recommend calling 111, and asking for advice.
