Selsdon Remembers

In the run up to Sunday’s centenary of the World War 1 Armistice, Selsdon Baptist Church are hosting this exhibition which offers an opportunity to learn about the experiences of those who have lived through wars in the past and also how conflicts continue to impact human life. The church will be open every afternoon this week from 2 to 4 pm, and also on Saturday 10th November from 10 to 12 noon. As well as displays that tell the story of Selsdon residents during the wars, there are also activities for children and you’ll have the opportunity to see a recreated nurse’s station from WW1 and the chance to sample the trench cake eaten by British soldiers.
