Exciting times at Selsdon Primary as we’re hosting our football trials next Friday on the school field!
These trials will be run by Mr Sow and Mr Hoare, who will be looking out for our most talented footballers from Years 3, 4 and 5. These two know a little bit about football, as they both used to play for Crystal Palace FC! You may have met them around school, as they teach some of our PE lessons.
This is available to both girls and boys in order to make our selections for the teams next year. We run both girls and boys teams, so we really do hope everyone takes the chance to get involved and show us what they’ve got.
Those who impress in the trials will get to take part in the league and competitions as well as friendly matches next year. We have matches throughout the year for Years 4, 5 and 6.
Even if you’ve taken part before, you need to take part in the trials, or you might not be able to take part next year!
All you have to do to join in is bring your PE kit (and football boots if you have them) in next Friday (5th May 2017) and take part when your year group is up!
Please remember, though, we expect the very best behaviour from our sports teams. This includes following all five of our school rules and trying your very hardest in class. Even if you are picked for the teams, your place can be withdrawn if your behaviour isn’t up to scratch.
