Attie here! Those of you that know me, know that I’m very keen on all things athletics related, so I’m rather excited about the upcoming Croydon Schools Cross Country!
This year everybody will get to have a go, including children in Years 1 and 2 (yay!), so that’s all the children from Year 1 all the way to Year 6!
As some of you will remember from last year, we have a set of open trials so everybody has a chance to try out to go to this competition. The trials will be a route around the field site for each year group, with the first 8 girls and first 8 boys in each year group given a special ticket and getting an invite to the Croydon race.
This year, cross country trials will be tomorrow Thursday, 29th September! In preparation for the competitions on either the 5th or 13th October, depending on which year you are in.
If you want to take part in the trials, all you need to do is bring your PE kit tomorrow!
Your year group will have a time slot and your teacher will ask who wants to have a shot at representing the school! Remember, we’re all sportspeople here with lots of respect for each other, so we will be cheering anybody on who gives it a try!
