A big well done to the Selsdon girls football team, who braved the cold and drizzle yesterday to travel to Heavers Farm for the second round of the Croydon Girls Football League. With an extra school joining this term, the girls had to play four matches in an exhausting Friday afternoon competition.
Showing a sterling effort, the girls, some who had played before and some who hadn’t, worked together as a team to put up a fantastic fight against some experienced and skilful sides.
We’re looking forward to the continuation of the league next term, when we can look to develop on this fantastic teamwork and really pull together to beat the other teams.
A big well done to all that took part, and well done to the girls from our partner school, Heavers Farm, who are sitting at the top of the league after yesterday’s matches.
