Billy’s “Back on My Own 2 Feet” Campaign

One of our Teaching Assistants, Claudia, has a nephew, Billy, who was diagnosed with bone cancer five days before his 20th birthday. He has recently had to undergo surgery to amputate his leg and hip. In order for Billy to be able to walk again his family have to raise money for a prosthetic limb as the NHS are not able to fund this.

So Billy and his family are looking to raise £70,000 for the new limb.

The details of Billy’s campaign can be found here.

All donations would be appreciated very much.

  1. I would like to say a massive thankyou to all the staff and children who have donated money and bought wristbands over the last week for my nephew Billy. I was very touched by the children’s generous donations, a few even donating their Birthday money. Myself, Billy and our family thankyou all from the bottom of our hearts. May I also say a big thankyou to Mrs S Papas, Mrs J Reed and Mrs S Walters for all their help and support, especially with arranging a fund day for Billy on 27 February. Once again your support means a lot to us. Finally, just to let you know Billy has so far got £30,000 towards his new leg at present!!!! That’s in just over a week, how amazing! Miss Barnard (6K)

  2. Reblogged this on Class 6B 2014/15 and commented:
This Friday (27th February) you may wear something red to school if you bring in a donation.
    It could be:
    red socks
    a red jumper
    a red hair band
It is not a mufti day – if you wish to donate then you wear 1 red item (or 2 if you wear red socks!!)
