Speech and Language

Interested in how it develops?

Worried about your child’s communication skills?

Then do come along to the school hall on Wednesday 29th January, 9.00am to 10.ooam, to hear Laura Marshall. Laura is our school’s Speech and Language therapist and in addition to explaining about general language development, she will be talking about when parents should be concerned and what parents can do to help their child with speech or language difficulties.

Afterwards Laura will answer any general questions parents may have. In addition, at the end of the session Laura is hoping to be able to meet with parents of children she is currently working with in school.

This is the first time we have run a session on this subject – language development is a fascinating area and it promises to be of interest to all parents, not just those who may have children with some speech or language needs.

There will be a crèche available for parents with pre-school age children, and also some refreshments!

We look forward to seeing you there.

  1. Ms Papas, I would have loved to have attended this but am unfortunately unable to make it due to a prior engagement on that day. Just thought I’d let you know so that you knew that the interest was there.

  2. I would also like to have come as sounds very interesting, but cannot sue to the time and notice, unfortunately have work commitments.

  3. I just want to say thank you to Laura for this session. it was very useful. i believe Mrs Jenkins may have copies of the handouts if anyone wants them?
