Christmas Jumper Day – Update!

xmas-jumperFriday 20th December 2013 is our Christmas Jumper Day!

You can wear your tackiest, boldest, blingiest (!) Christmas jumper and make a donation to charity. Children do not have to wear uniform on this day, so you can wear your jumper with your own clothes.

**UPDATE: Ignore the item in this weeks ‘News from the School Office’ about Christmas Jumper Day. Children can wear their own clothes with their Christmas jumper. Sorry for any confusion caused**

Thank you to a group of parents who pointed out the news about the Save the Children charity this week. The charity featured in the news this week and have been questioned about their approach to fundraising. Questions have been asked about their ethics.

Therefore we are going to donate the money raised on Christmas Jumper Day to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. I thought that this would be more fitting, particularly at this time of year.

  1. There is normally a mufti day for Christmas dinner, is this still the case as falls on a different day to christmas jumper day?

  2. Hi I’m glad it’s going to great ormand street, I have a personal connection with this hospital as my nephew was cared for there for the first 9months of his life and the nurses are wonderful and very caring. Princess Diana visited the hospital and held my nephew and after she had finished visiting the rest of the hospital she asked to return to my nephew and sat with him for a while longer. She was very taken by him. Excellent hospital.

  3. Sorry to ask but does this mean the children can wear their own clothes on Thursday and Friday jumper day then, both days
